NSBNews.net Casey coverage listed with major media outlets by Google News

NSBNEWS.net gets major worldwide media exposure with Casey Anthony coverage.

NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- NSBNews.net has its 15 minutes of fame and then some with the world-wide coverage of Casey Anthony's jail release highlighted on Google News.

Yes, that's right! NSBNews.net and we are excited to share this with our faithful followers throughout Central Florida from here in New Smyrna Beach, the family paradise on the ocean's edge.

We're the little city just south of NASCAR's Daytona International Speedway and the Daytona 500.

NSBNews.net is proud to be a part of the media coverage of the biggest homicide story in the U.S. since the O.J. Simpson double-murder trial.

NSBNews.net is a 24/7 exclusively-online newspaper launched April 7, 2008. In our three-plus years, we have focused on local breaking news and investigative reporting, such as our continuing coverage on a scandal in the Oak Hill Police Department, an even smaller city to our south.

But nothing comes close to this for a one-person news operation with two dozen-plus volunteers started from scratch.

Google chose our blog installment by Mark Williams headlined: "Nancy Grace regular: Everyone a loser in the Casey Anthony case.

Williams, a radio newscaster, was a frequent guest on the HLN "Nancy Grace Show" for much of the Casey saga. He outlined his thoughts on the media frenzy as did two of our other bloggers, Darlene Vann of Edgewater and Cheyenne Drews, a New Smyrna Beach High School student.

Peter Mallory, the other founding member of NSBNews.net wrote a column on the Home page in his regular slot describing Casey as a modern-day Jezebel.

This was not NSBNews.net's only foray into the Casey Anthony case. NSBNews.net was the first Volusia County-based media outlet with breaking news coverage on George Anthony's hospitalization in Daytona Beach and his subsequent release.

Below, at 6:45 a.m., some of the media organizations were switched out in Google News' worldwide Casey Anthony headlines, but NSBNews.net was holding strong among the showcased stories out of 1,248 postings from news organizations.

Editor's Note: NSBNews.net was in the mix among Google's showcased Casey Anthony headlines from 4:30 a.m. until 7:30 a.m.

NSBNews.net, also known as VolusiaNews.net, provides Volusia County 24 / 7 Internet newspaper coverage, 100% free with breaking news, news of record and investigative reports from New Smyrna Beach, FL, for a 21st-century digital world.
