NEW SMYRNA BEACH — Bert Fish Medical Center will hold an open house and health fair on Monday, Oct. 3, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m., in the Schildecker Outpatient Lobby of the hospital, 401 Palmetto St. This event offers a variety of screenings — blood pressure, pulse oximeter, and body mass index — free of charge.
In addition, all attendees 10 years of age and older will be offered a free seasonal flu shot. The event will also include a Medication Check-up station. Guests are invited to bring all of their medications for a private review and consultation with a pharmacist.
“Understanding Medicare,” a 30-minute educational session that explores the basics of Medicare will be offered at 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 1p.m., 5 p.m., and 6 p.m. These sessions will also allow time for Q&A.
