NEW SMYRNA BEACH --What would a Christmas-themed Wine Walk at Art Walk on Flagler Avenue be without baked goods?
That's where 14-year-old Lexy Zemball and her grandmother Lynn Roberson fit the bill.
They had baked goods for sale in a booth on the avenue freshly baked from New Smyrna Beach High School where Roberson is the culinary arts instructor to 160 students in six classes. Lexy is among those students.
Being this was their maiden voyage here, Roberson said she wasn't sure what to expect.
"Everyone's been nice, but there weren't too many customers," she said. "It's our first time out here and we'll be back in January."
The baked goods won't go to waste, though.
"We sell them to the teachers at the school and we do catering," Roberson said.
Of course, baked goods weren't the only offering. There were several arts and craft booths along the avenue and plenty of wine in front of shops like the Galleria Di Vetro. Clancy's Cantina had a live acoustic duo playing on its outdoor patio.
With late afternoon setting in, the holiday lights came on as well.
Wine patrons gather in front of the Galleria Di Vetro and in the inset photo, this little dog gets to hang out with his family on the patio at Clancy's Cantina instead of the car where they enjoy food, wine and music.
