Edgewater cops and rotary teaming up for bicycle safety contest for school kids

EDGEWATER -- In effort to promote Bicycle Safety, the Edgewater Police Department and the Edgewater Rotary Club have teamed up with Edgewater Elementary School and Indian River Elementary School to compete in a coloring contest to encourage bicycle / helmet safety.

On Wednesday, March 28, the classroom teachers will choose three winners from each grade level. The winners will be announced by Edgewater Police Chief Dave Arcieri the next day for Indian River Elementary and that Friday for Edgewater Elementary.

The winners will receive a $15 “City of Edgewater Full of Life Carnival Ticket” which will give the winner a full one-day pass for unlimited rides.
The carnival will be held March 30 and April 1 at Kennedy Park. This contest is made possible by the generous donation from the Edgewater Rotary Club.
