DAYTONA BEACH - Board-certified family medicine physician Carol Gaines, DO, has joined the medical staff at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center.
"We're extremely blessed that Dr. Gaines has joined our Florida Hospital family," said Dr. Ron Jimenez, Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center's chief medical officer.
Prior to joining the Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center and HealthCare Partners, Dr. Gaines worked with Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio, and, more recently, Winn Army Community Hospital in Fort Stewart, Ga.
Dr. Gaines is an active member of the American Osteopathic Association, The American Board of Osteopathic Family Practice, The American Academy of Osteopathy, The Society of Hospital Medicine and is a new member of the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association. She received her Bachelor of Science in biology from Davis and Elkins College in Elkins, W. Va., and her medical degree at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, W. Va. in 1991.
As one of the hospital's HealthCare Partners' family practice physicians, Dr. Gaines sees patients of all ages at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center's Port Orange Pavilion location at 5535 S. Williamson Blvd., Suite 700.
