Bethune-Cookman coach Brian jenkins sees progress on both sides of the football at practice in New Smyrna Beach

NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- The Bethune-Cookman Wildcats of Daytona Beach returned to the sixth day of practice Tuesday, taking the field again at New Smyrna Beach Sports Complex in full pads during the late afternoon session, with solid results beginning to show.

"There are a lot of holes, a lot of question marks, and we're just trying to be detailed and continue to stress and work on the fundamentals. We're just trying to find a way to do it all together, that's the main thing."

Starting early, the team pressed through an extremely intense practice, narrowly beating a heavy storm rolling in from the south. Though the coaches are seeing progress in the team since the opening of camp, they know they still have work to do to get ready for the season.

 Jenkins said saw good things from both the offense and defense, saying he saw both sides "do some good things."

The Wildcats return to New Smyrna Beach Sporting Complex for a two-a-day practice set today.
