New Smyrna Beach library shows free Hollywood movies

NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- Does the high price of movies have you down? Watch some of the year’s most popular films at the New Smyrna Beach Regional Library. It won’t cost you a dime.

Upcoming movies include:

· “Beautiful Creatures” 2 p.m. Friday, July 5. Ethan longs to escape his small southern town. He meets a mysterious new girl, Lena. Together, they uncover dark secrets about their families, their history and their town. Rated PG-13, 124 minutes.

· “Mama” 2 p.m. Friday, July 12. Annabel and Lucas are faced with the challenge of raising his young nieces who were left alone in the forest for five years ... but how alone were they? Rated PG-13, 100 minutes.

· “Jack Reacher” 2 p.m. Friday, July 19. A homicide investigator digs deeper into a case involving a trained military sniper who shot five random victims. Tom Cruise stars. Rated PG-13, 130 minutes.

· “Hyde Park on the Hudson” 2 p.m. Friday, July 26. This story of the love affair between Franklin Roosevelt and his distant cousin is centered around the weekend in 1939 when the king and queen of England visited the president’s upstate New York home. Bill Murray and Laura Linney star. Rated R, 94 minutes.
