Gladius to give free show

Atlanta guitarist Gladius / Headline SurferPhoto for Headline Surfer / Guitararist Gladius brings his unique guitar playing talents to the New Smyrna Beach Regional Public Library. 

NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- Atlanta guitarist and composer Gladius will give a free performance at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, in the New Smyrna Beach Regional Library auditorium, 1001 S. Dixie Freeway.

Gladius performs Flamenco, pop, classical and original compositions.

In 2005, it appeared that his dream of pursuing a music career was over when Gladius suddenly developed a neurological condition that hindered the sensation and dexterity in his hands.

Surgery and ongoing physical therapy have improved his condition significantly. 

In 2011, Gladius released a studio debut. His performance is sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Reservations are not required.
