VCSO: Man shot in his Deltona residence; deputies looking for two men

DELTONA -- A Deltona man was airlifted by helicopter to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach with a non-life threatening bullet wound to his head after he was confronted by two men inside his residence just before 8:30 p.m. Sunday, a Volusia County Sheriff''s official said.

"The suspects and the men got into an argument and one of the suspects then shot at the victim," Sheriff's spokesman Brandon Haught told Headline Surfer. "The bullet appears to have grazed the victim’s head. The suspects then fled."

Deputies were notified at about 8:30 p.m. that the victim, who was home alone, was confronted by two unknown men in his house at 3222 Roland Drive.

No information on the victim, such as his name or age was released. No description was given for either of his alleged attackers as well.

The victim was transported by Sheriff’s Office helicopter to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach for treatment. Deputies were searching for the men involved in the shooting.
