The 24/7 internet newspaper has chosen anchor its business in Daytona Beach, a global destination for tourism and the three main attractions: the World's Most Famous Beach known for its hard sands where beach driving is still allowed on some stretches, Daytona International Speedway with the Daytona 500, and of course, Bike Week, which draws several hundred thousand bikers.

Sunbathing on the World's Most Famous Beach, Daytona Beach, Fla. / Headline Surfer®DAYTONA BEACH -- Headline Surfer® is going to anchor in Daytona Beach as its home turf as the award-winning 24/7 internet newspaper heads into its sixth year of providing around-the-clock news for the Daytona Beach-Orlando metro area.

In the next 24 hours, the home base will be changed from Lake Mary, Florida, to Daytona Beach, Florida.

Our top three counties will be Volusia, Seminole and Orange, with the next tier being Flagler, Brevard, Osceola and the third and final ties consisting of St. Johns, Marion, Lake and Putnam counties.

In addition, a Volusia County page will be built for automated news just like the other nine counties. However, we will retain the individual city pages for Volusia County.

My wife, Serafina King Frederick, and I, are in the process of finding a new long-term residence we can call our own, either in Lake Mary where we are now, or in Sanford or Casselberry.

This will make it easier for her commuting for her job and for me to network in the greater Orlando market for advertising and for covering major political events and federal court, when warranted.

By having an office in Daytona Beach, it will be easier to integrate with the business community. While we will continue to foster positive interaction with the Daytona Beach Chamber of Commerce, Headline Surfer will not be a full-fledged member of this or any other organization (other than journalism) as to maintain complete independence.

As for party affiliation, I am registered as no party affiliation, though I see myself as politically conservative, but mindful of the need for compassion and benefit of the doubt when it comes to the poor, disadvantaged and downtrodden. I'm in the process of creating a new media kit, along with plans for the next generation Headline Surfer®.

I'll have more in the coming days, including our analytics, demonstrating our global appeal to a 21st-century digital world audience.
