KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- The Medical Examiner's Office has positively identified a body found in Shingle Creek as that of Matthew Gilmore, 39, from Kissimmee, and determined his cause of death as a drowning.

The incident does not appear suspicious, therefore, Osceola County Sheriff's detectives are investigating this as an accidental drowning and are working with the Medical Examiner's Office to determine if drugs or alcohol may have been a factor in his death, according to a press release.

On Sept. 27, the body of a man later identified as that of Gilmore was found floating in the water near the area of the Shingle Creek bridge and 17-92, according to Osceola County deputies.
