She was 82. Fabares died Saturday, August 22, in Los Angeles, surrounded by her loved ones. Her family, including her husband of more than four decades, M*A*S*H star Mike Farrell, confirmed her passing. Born in Santa Monica, California, in 1944, Shelley started working at a remarkably young age. But everything changed in 1958 when she was cast as Mary Stone, Donna Reed’s daughter on The Donna Reed Show. She became one of the most familiar teenage faces on American television.
