America giving away too much foreign aid

EDGEWATER, Fla. -- If you ever wonder why our economy is the way it is, it's because our government spends too much helping out the United Nations and all of the countries that dislike us.

Just take a look at the voting records of countries in the U.N. who have voted against us on various matters:

* Kuwait -- We went to war against Iraq to liberate and their voting record against us is 67 percent.

* Qatar,  67 percent.

* Morocco, 70 percent.

* United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Tunisia, 71 percent.

 * Saudi Arabia, 73 percent.

 * Yemen, Algeria and  Oman, all  74 percent.

 * Sudan, and our so-called friend Pakistan, both 75 percent.

 * Lebanon, 80 percent.

 * India, 81 percent.

 * Syria, 84 percent.

 * Mauritania 87 percent.

 Now that we've seen the crummy voting records of these countries, let's take a look at how much foreign aid they receive from the American government:

 * Egypt, $2 billion.

 * Pakistan, $670 million.

 * Jordan $192.8 million.

* India, $143.6 million.

All this money comes from us, the taxpayers, and the money leaves the country and, we, the taxpayers, are struggling with high prices for food and gas, the latter mostly from imports food.

I believe it's time for the U.S. to get out of the U.N. and give the tax savings back to the American workers, who are having to skimp and sacrifice to pay our taxes and medical bills, buy food, clothing, and oh yeah, deal with the high price of gasoline. Our government is irresponsible, it is not looking out for the interest of its citizens.

It is just disgusting and it's only going to get worse. Gas is already more than $4 a gallon. What do you think? Call your elected officials and let them know how you feel about our foreign-aid handouts.
