SANFORD, Fla. -- An Amber Alert was cancelled several hours after the reported kidnapping of a 3-month-old baby girl earlier on this Sunday allegedly by her estranged father: That's because the child was returned by a friend, Sanford cops said.
"Na’Tori Mazion has been recovered and returned to the mother," Sanford Police PIO Ronny Neal said in an email alert to Headline Surfer just after 4 p.m. of the infant. "It was revealed that Na’Tori Mazion was returned by a person known to the father, Tedrick Mazion. In addition, the known friend of Tedrick Mazion is currently being questioned by the Sanford Police."
Because it is an ongoing investigation, Neal did not identify the friend nor any information about possible kidnapping charges against Mazion.

"During the course of the investigation, it was revealed that Tedrick Mazion has not been involved in Na’Tori Mazion’s life since birth," said Neal, which is all the more puzzling why he showed up at the mother's residence, 401 West Seminole Boulevard (The Park @ Ravello), at 8:37 a.m. and took off with the child in a 2017 Red Nissan Altima, bearing a Florida Tag 4ALYW.
This led to a 9-1-1 call to police and the issuing of an Amber Alert after the cops responded to the scene.
