ORLANDO, Fla. -- Central Florida's forecast through the weekend will be kind of tough going with showers and thunderstorms likely, alternating with sunshine.
It will be mostly sunny and hot today with a high near 97 in greater Orlando with heat index values as high as 110. There will be a west wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
The chance of precipitation today is 60 percent, with new rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. Expect more of the same throughout the week.
