Cudas crush Creek, 43-0, in Homecoming

 

 

NSBNEWS.net photos by Sera Frederick. The New Smyrna Beach High School 'Cudas defeated Spruce Creek 43-0 before a big crowd at Homecoming earlier tonight. At left, the defense was all over the Creek squad, stifling both the running and passing plays. At center, quaterback A.J. Granger led a balanced offensive attack. At right, 'Cudas alumnus and Mayor Adam Barringer got a close-up view of the games on the sidelines.

NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- All of the scoring came in the first half behind the signal calling of 'Cudas quarterback A.J. Granger en route to a 43-0 blowout of Spruce Creek in front of a large Homecoming crod tonight at New Smyrna Beach Stadium.

Granger was thrilled with the victory, saying, "We played as a team and we finally got what we worked for."

Coach Rocky Yocam said "execution tonight" was on the money, adding, "We got to play everyone. We had a great Homecoming crowd.

The 'Cudas face South Fork High School of Stuart next Friday at home in a district playoff game.
