DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Just around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, officers with the Daytona Beach Police Department responded to the 200 block of Ontario Court following reports of a person shot. Cops found one person dead at the scene, and additional 9-1-1 callers reported hearing multiple gunshots in the area.
Upon arrival, officers located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite life-saving efforts by emergency medical personnel, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Shortly thereafter, officers cops were notified that three additional victims had arrived at a local hospital seeking treatment for gunshot wounds. Two of the victims are currently in critical but stable condition and undergoing medical treatment. The third victim has been medically treated and released.

Daytona Beach Police have not released the identity of the murder victim nor of the three other shooting victims while the gun violence remains under active investigation.
Preliminary investigation indicates that all four victims were involved in the same incident. At this time, investigators believe this was an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the community.
