Free computer classes at New Smyrna Library

NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- Computer knowledge is just a click away at the New Smyrna Beach Regional Library. Check out the free computer classes available in May.

Computer basics will begin at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 12. This class is designed for beginners who want to learn about the physical components of a computer and get acquainted with terminology. Participants also will explore some of the functions and features of the Windows operating system.

Internet basics will begin at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 19. Attendees will learn about the Internet and become familiar with terminology. They also will acquire basic skills to access and navigate web sites, including search engines and online directories.

E-mail and attachments will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 26. Attendees will learn aspects of e-mail, from getting a free e-mail address to composing messages and attaching pictures and documents.
