NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- The New Smyrna Beach Regional Library and RadioShack will host a free seminar to help local residents prepare for the digital television (DTV)
transition from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, said Pat Kuehn, Volusia County spokeswoman.
Starting Feb. 17, full-power television stations nationwide must switch from the old method of transmitting TV signals (known as analog) to digital television. RadioShack has partnered with the American Library Association to host seminars throughout the country to help people prepare for the DTV transition. During these seminars, a RadioShack DTV
expert will help answer these questions:
● What is the DTV transition?
● Will I be affected?
● What do I have to do?
● What is a converter box?
● How do I get a coupon for a converter box?
● How do I set up my converter box?
If you have questions about this event, please contact the New Smyrna Beach Regional Library at (386) 424-2910, ext. 104.
