DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- With the distinct possibility Hillary Clinton will skate by with the private email server scandal, based on the way the FBI has compromised itself politically, (being shown up by Wikileaks with thousands of emails published), now is not the time to punish failed presidential candidate Marco Rubio or Ron DeSantis from making the 11th-hour decisions to seek a return to the seats they have held in Washington is the US Senate and the House, respectively.
When Rubio got into the gutter politics with Donald Trump during the GOP primaries -- with Trump dismissing him as "Little Marco," and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie piling on, Rubio knew if he didn't make a run for his Senate seat, his political career might have ended then.
And really, what choice did Ron DeSantis have in going back to campaigning for his seat in Congress with Rubio now standing in the way of his quest for the Senate seat? Rubio is extremely knowledgeable on foreign affairs and national security issues and few in Congress are as conservatively-principled as Ron DeSantis.

Rubio is extremely knowledgeable on foreign affairs and national security issues and few in Congress are as conservatively-principled as Ron DeSantis.
Rubio, first elected to the US Senate in 2010, announced on April 13, 2015, that he was running for president in 2016. He said he would not seek re-election to his Senate Seat this election cycle. But on June 22, Rubio announced that he would seek re-election to his Senate seat after all. Rubio easily defeated four challengers in the Republican primary; and now faces the challenge of Denrocratic US Congressman Patrick Murphy.
DeSantis initially sought election to the US Senate seat, but dropped out of the race when incumbent Rubio announced that he would seek re-election.
DeSantis easily dispatched of Ormond Beach Realtor G.G. Galloway and State Rep. Fred Costello in the Republican primary, while Democrat Bill McCullough defeated Jay McGovern, George Pappas, and Dwayne Taylor in the Aug. 30 primary to face off against DeSantis.
Headline Surfer endorses Republican Marco Rubio for a second six year term in the US Senate and the internet news outlet endorses Republican Ron DeSantis for a third two-year term in the Congress in the Nov. 8 general elections with early voting continuing through Saturday.
