Herbal gourmet Joyce Harris to speak at Port Orange library on Aug. 25

PORT ORANGE, Fla. -- Joyce Harris, known locally as the "herbal gourmet," will give an overview of 12 herbs and their uses for cooking, aroma, tea and health at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, at the Port Orange Regional Library, 1005 City Center Circle.

Harris, a certified tea specialist living in New Smyrna Beach, became interested in teas and herbs while living in England about 30 years ago, Pat Kuehn, community information specialist with Volusia County, told Headline Surfer. After returning to the United States, she purchased a plant nursery and tea business specializing in organic gourmet products, Kuehn said.
