Travolta was issued a license to marry from the Volusia County Clerk of the Court on Sept 12, 1991, which bears his and Preston's signatures on it to marry in Daytona Beach.
The Travoltas lived in the exclusive and gated Spruce Creek Fly-in where airplanes are parked and a runway is included. John Travolta is a pilot and had an airplane there where he prevailed in a lawsuit by other residents there who complained his plane was too big and noisy. The Travolta lived there in the first half of the 1990s before moving to Ocala.
