We have a new commission and we all hoped for "change." This has not happened. City Commissioner Judy Reiker and Mayor Adam Barringer were newly elected in November with the mantra of holding down costs and looking out for the taxpayer.
When AT&T, Caterpillar, John Deere, and other majors are ready to "throw in the towel," our local governments need to get serious. If they do not think that this kind of "red flag" is an indicator for what is to come, they are just "darn stupid."

Our prperty values are going to fall another 13%, according to the county appraiser's office, so how can government continue to spend?
I know what is to come: Increase in taxes! They'll call it the rolled-back rate, whatever. We need to fight them and stop it now.
