Listless NY Jets turn to Geno Smith; Ryan Fitpatrick benched

Coming off a big loss to the Arizona Cardinals, Todd Bowles announced Wednesday that Geno Smith will be the New York Jets' starting quarterback Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens, sending Ryan Fitzpatrick to the sideline (Oct. 19, 2016).

The Jets lost at Arizona on Monday night, 28-3, to fall to 1-5, with their playoff hopes slipping away. With the exception of the win over the Buffalo Bills, Ryan has been terrible.

As ESPN reported, David Johnson rushed for 111 yards and three touchdowns and the Arizona Cardinals shut down the listless New York Jets 28-3 on Monday Night Football. And with the loss on the road, the Jets are now 1-5. Ryan wasn't happy with the demotion, but admitted his play has been less than stellar. For Smith, this, may be his last chance as a starter.
