National Weather Service: 30% chance of rain for Sunday's Daytona 500

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Despite a 30 percent chance of rain on this Friday night, it stayed dry for the running of the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series race at Daytona International Speedway. 

With Saturday's XFinity race and Sunday's Daytona 500, here is the latest forecast for Daytona Beach from the National Weather Service in Melbourne:

Saturday: A 30 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 70. Northeast wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. 

Saturday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59. East northeast wind 5 to 10 mph. 

Sunday: A 30 percent chance of showers. Mostly sunny, with a high near 74. East northeast wind 5 to 10 mph.
