DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Look for mostly sunny skies Friday at the World's Most Famous Beach in Daytona and other nearby coastal cities with a high near 90 and only a 20 percent chance of rain, according to the National Weather Service in Melbourne.

The weekend looks to be a different story, however. Rain is expected Saturday and Sunday.

Here is the weekend forecast for greater Daytona Beach:

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 76. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.

Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11 am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 90. East wind 5 to 10 mph.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 76. East southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 90. East wind 5 to 15 mph.

Saturday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 76. East southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm after midnight.

Sunday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 90. East wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. The chance of precipitation is 60%.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 76. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm after midnight.

Monday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 90. Light east southeast wind becoming east 5 to 10 mph in the morning.
