No April Fool's Joke: Gunman with mummy-like mask robs gas-convenience store outside Sanford city limits

SANFORD, Fla -- Do you know this guy?

Early Monday around 3 a.m., this masked suspect robbed a Circle K convenience store located on Orange Boulevard in unincorporated Sanford. He was armed with a handgun and had a white t-shirt covering his face that had him looking like a mummy.

What at first might have been construed as an April Fool's joke was all too real when the semi-automatic handgun was brandished with him demading the clewrk give hiom the cash in the register. Then fled the scene in an unknown direction of travel. No one was injured during this incident.

Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call the Seminole County Sheriff's Office at 407-665-6650 or Crimeline at (800) 423-TIPS (8477).

Calls made to Crimeline remain anonymous, and tips that lead to the felony arrest of suspects and/or the recovery of stolen property and drugs are eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000.
