NSBNEWS.net gearing up for campaign 2010 coverage

Well, it's election season here in Southeast Volusia with Early Voting beginning Monday, Aug. 9, leading up to the Aug. 24 primaries. And NSBNEWS.net will have daily coverage, analysis and insight on the candidates, the issues and the mood of the voters.

Most of the non-partisan races for county and circuit judge, County Council will likely be over then with outright winners and partisan races for the Florida House and Senate, as well as state and federal races, setting the stage for the November elections.

Already, lots of candidates are lining up their paid political ads here with NSBNEWS.net, where you'll be able to click on their messages and go directly to their websites. In addition, main political stories will be posted under a new section on the Home page: Elections 2010. Plus you'll find a wide array of candidate notebook items, endorsement and fast facts snippets in the Party Lines section on our Opinion page. We'll also provide as much information as we can on voting, absentee ballots, early voting results and finally, election night.

More than likely NSBNEWS.net will sponsor a series of debates a week before the Aug. 24 primary, just as we did in the 2009 elections for mayor and city commissioner.

Please fell free to e-mail me issues you think the candidates should be addressing. You can count on NSBNEWS.net for comprehensive coverage as we take you well beyond the street campaign signs and to the heart of the issues that really matter to you.
