William R. "Red" Patterson, 73, of Edgewater, a retired mechanic who enjoyed fishing under the bridge with friends and spending time with his family, yard work and gardening, died Friday, Oct. 9, 2009.

Helen G. Pleterski, 78, of Samsula, a rancher, a long time member of The Volusia County Fair and Youth Association, Volusia County Cattlewomen, Volusia County Cattlemen, and the SNPJ Lodge No.603 in Samsula, died Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009.

Victor J. Caudill, 73, of New Smyrna Beach, a self employed brick and block mason, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009.

Conrad Jusick, 83, of New Smyrna Beach, a retired banking executive, who received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Pittsburg,and an avid golfer for over 50 years, achieving two holes in one, died Thursday, October 8, 2009.

Richard Lee "Brodie" Chism, 57, of Edgewater, a mechanic for the New Smyrna Beach Utilities Commission, an avid motorcycle rider who enjoyed fishing, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009.

Robert E. Kircher, 78, of Edgewater, a member of the Souheast Volusia Republican Club, and a Manhattan native who loved the New York Giants and attended Super Bowls XXI and XXV, died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009.

Lela P. Cape, 74, of New Smyrna Beach, owner and manager of Grizzle Mobile Home Park in Oakwood, Ga. for many years, and a member of Glencoe Baptist Church of New Smyrna Beach, died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009.

James W. Bonneville, 88, of Edgewater, a former installer for Western Electric, died Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009.

Edgar Paul Sitler, II, 73, of Edgewater, a proposal business manager for Boeing Aerospace, who moved here with his family in 21 years ago from Oklahoma, died Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009.

James A. Flack Jr., 66, of Edgewater, a manager for Goss Inc., died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009.

Brandon Martin, 16, of New Smyrna Beach, survived by his mother, Francine Gilmore, his father, Delbert Martin; his grandparents: Melvin and Rosemary Brown, Nathaniel and Annie Kates; his great grandparents: Willie Fredrick, Dorothy Seymore, Jack and Gwen Tobler and Robert and Christine Hope; three brothers and four sisters, died Sunday, Sept, 27, 2009.

SGM Kevin Richard Nirschl, USASF, Ret., 53, of Edgewater, died tragically in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009.

Ruth Irene Orem, 78, of Edgewater, a native of Toronto, who worked as a legal assistant and retired to this area in 1988 from Detroit, and was a member of First Presbyterian Church and active with the Bert Fish Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, died Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009.
