PORT ORANGE, Fla. -- Wanda Binz, 69, of Port Orange, Florida, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family and friends in her final days.
Wanda Binz was a devoted member of the Ponce Inlet community. Five years ago, she retired from the Ponce Inlet Police Department after serving more than 21 years as an office manager. Her late husband, Max Binz, was a police lieutenant there prior to his death in 2019. Her colleagues and friends remember her as a dedicated, generous, and supportive presence in her professional and personal life. In retirement, Wanda cherished her role as a doting grandmother to her 10 granddaughters -- with an 11th granddaughter and first great-granddaughter soon to arrive -- filling her days with joy and laughter.
