Orlando Cops: Man arrested on 2nd-degree murder with a weapon for allegedly stabbing his elderly father to death

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A son has been charged with second-degree murder with a weapon by allegedly stabbing his elderly father to death earlier today, Orlando police said. 

On Thursday, April 3, 2025, at approximately 6:47 a.m., officers from the Orlando Police Department responded to a reported stabbing at 9456 Candice Court.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim, Meb G. Yohan, 71, suffering from multiple lacerations. Emergency medical personnel transported him to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The suspect has been identified as the victim’s son, Almeb Y. Gebreyohannes, 38. He was taken into custody without incident and has been charged with second-degree murder with a weapon.
