PONCE INLET, Fla. -- An elderly woman was shot and killed in her home early on this Wednesday morning, Ponce Inlet police said, adding it id being treated as a homicide and that two suspects who were known to the victim were in custody.
"We are currently working a homicide investigation in Ponce Inlet, Ponce Inlet Police Chief Jeffrey Glazier said in a brief statement. "Our victim is an elderly female. There are two suspects in custody. There is no danger to the public."

Ponce Inlet cops responded to the fatal shooting at 5:09 a.m. to the Links at Harbor Village condos where they found the elderly woman suffering from gunshot wounds. She was taken to Halifax Health Hospital in Daytona Beach where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
The name and age of the victim were not released nor was any information on the suspects.
