PORT ORANGE, Fla. -- Home Depot and Lowes have sand, reports Don Burnette, mayor of Port Orange.

"Water seems well in supply with many retailers, and the city should be able to maintain full operation of its water supply," Burnette told Headline Surfer.

"Trash will be picked up tomorrow, but not Tuesday," Burnette added.

While Burnette's focus as the municipal leader is on Port Orange, he could not help express his concerns for those bearing the wrath of Hurricane Dorian.

"Pray for the people of the Bahamas who are taking a direct hit from a Category 5 storm!"
