Robert Lee Jones, age 65, of New Smyrna Beach, died Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, Edgewater. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 24 at Settle Wilder Chapel, New Smyrna Beach.
Born in West Palm Beach but raised in New Smyrna Beach, Mr. Jones returned to this area from Inverness in 2007. In 1974 he earned his masters degree in business administration from the University of South Florida, Tampa, and was a much loved and respected teacher for many years at both Citrus and Hernando High Schools. Mr. Jones loved his family, the river, music, and climbing lighthouses along the coast of Florida.
