The event is sponsored by the Rotary clubs of New Smyrna Beach and Edgewater as a significant fundraiser for their community good-works and charities.
"You don’t have to be a parrot head to have a good time,” said Peter Stanton, president of the Rotary Club of Edgewater, in reference to what Jimmy Buffet fans are referred to, adding, "We’ll have a band playing, hamburgers and sliders from over a dozen local restaurants, free beer, wine and sodas plus contests, tequila tasting and lots more to keep everyone entertained.”
Jeff Abbott, president of the Rotary Club of New Smyrna Beach, said the net proceeds of this event will "fund the clubs’ community support with youth scholarships and youth activities," adding, “We expect this to continue to be a very popular event and encourage everyone to purchase tickets early.”
