Friday was the first day of spring break and the end of the third grading quarter. We are all feeling a little anxious to relax and take a break from school, leading to a lot of misconduct. Last week, teachers arrived to police and chaos. People, (I'm unable to find specifics so don't quote me on this), broke into the school breaking into two vending machines.
Not much was stolen except money. It's rumored that they actually left money on the ground near the machines. Cameras were also broken as well as approximately five teacher laptops stolen with all of the students' grades on them.
There weren't any leads that day of suspects, but forensics may point to a person or group of people. The middle school is well protected and students are assured that the staff works to protect the students to the best of their abilities.
Needless to say, students, faculty, and staff are counting down the minutes to spring break.
About 80 eighth-graders went on the Washington D.C. trip this week so their break started early. I personally did not go because the total cost was about $800. Most families find that a great expense and the number of people attending sufficiently decreased compared to the last few years.
The people who did get to experience it got to visit parts of Pennsylvania, Washington D.C. and had a 17-hour bus ride, each way!
I hope they have a safe and enjoyable rest of the trip.
Happy Spring everybody.
Remember, I'd love to hear from you. Questions, comments, ideas, I want them all.
