This dramatic shot shows a nasty storm cell moving fast through the intersection of Ridgewood Avenue and 10th Street near the New Smyrna Beach-Edgewater border, bringing with it heavy rains, thunder and lightning.NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- The National Weather Service in Melbourne issued a tornado warning just after 5 p.m. for Volusia County with a report of a tornado approaching Spruce Creek and Interstate 95 and headed in the direction of Wilbur by the Sea and Ponce Inlet at 5:15 p.m. near Ponce Inlet and Interstate 95, Other areas included in the warning were Port Orange, New Smyrna Beach, Edgewater and unincorporated Bethune Beach.
The tornado warning was to go until 5:30 p.m. and that deadline passed a few minutes ago with no reported damage.
