Vladimir Putin: The Russian bully

DELTONA -- What if one day Cuba put troops in Miami because there are Cubans there and they were worried they are not being treated fairly Would America stand up? So why then when Putin invaded the sovereign nation of Ukraine's Crimea region using the same logic, nothing was done by the Obama Administration save for worthless economic sanctions?

President Obama has routinely bowed down to the rest of the world, apologizing for America and now it is coming back to haunt him. America used to lead the world in doing the right thing but now Obama's "executive orders" are seen as a joke.

Recently, Fortune put out its list of top 50 leaders in the world and President Obama was not on the list. I heard he was not happy about that. Well, when you bow to other countries it catches up to you. The eyes of the world see Obama for what he is: Weak!

With our scheduled cuts in the military, America will not be seen as a Super Power, but weak as well.  Over these past weeks, we have seen the events unfolding in Crimea and the Ukraine. It is a blatant power power grab by Putin. First, it Crimea. What's next? The rest of Ukraine. Where else after that? Face it. Do you really believe that the Russian troops that are straddling the border of Ukraine are really simply there for training exercises?

And when asked how long this training exercise would last, the the US was told it was for an undermined amount of time. It is bullying tactic. Putin wants to get the Ukraine after it has gone through its recent turmoil as it is now in a weakened state.

Russia is not there to help, but to take over. I do not think Putin is that hurt by the G8 Summit not being held in Russia. He is getting a whole new country. What is a little G8 Summit? He had the Sochi Olympics and the one billion dollars it brought into Russia. Putin has a big ego. He believes that since parts of the Ukraine were once part of Russia, they need to come back to Motherland Russia regardless that it has been decades.

Crimea has not been part of Russia since the 1950s. We, the United States with our 13 orifginal colonies, were once part of the British Empire, but I do not see the Queen of England wanting to annex the US any time soon.

The sanctions are not scaring Putin. All right, we have $17 Trillion GDP to Russia's $2 trillion GDP and sanctions might hurt a little, but with Putin believing he is growing Mother Russia, and with Western Europe so dependent on Russia's natural gas reserves, who knows how far the Russian Bear will go to reclaim former Soviet territories. Putin is not just the Russian Bear. Putin is the Russian Bully.

It used to be where US leads the rest of the other major countries would follow, but the US is not leading anywhere and neither are the rest of the other world leaders. I was watching Fox News and Charles Krauthammer said it well when he said that none of us want war, but you also must be forward thinking and see the dangers down the road like FDR did with Germany in the 1930s.

Also, that the US is lucky that it is bordered by friendly nations on two sides and the other side by the ocean. When you see a tyrant taking control you have to treat it like a disease and stop it from spreading as early as possible. Otherwise, it takes over the whole host.
