
NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- The New Smyrna Beach Regional Library offers a variety of free computer classes that can help beginners learn the basics.
Discover everything you always wanted to know about e-mail at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 1. Participants will learn how to get a free e-mail address, compose e-mails, and add pictures and documents to their e-mails.
An Internet Searching class will start at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 8. The instructor will explain the web browser Microsoft Internet Explorer and features such as favorites, homepage, font size and Internet options.
Computer Basics will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 15. This class is for people with little or no computer experience who want to learn about the components of a computer and get acquainted with terminology. Participants will explore some of the functions and features of the Microsoft Windows operating system.
Learn how to work with Microsoft Excel 2003 at 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 22. This class introduces basic concepts and terminology and explains elements of the Excel screen. Demonstrations will include entering data and working with cells, rows and columns.
