The Volusia County Council is seeking public input on the implementation of a competitive process for awarding concession service contracts on Volusia County public beaches, said Michelle Coats, spokeswoman for Volusia County government.
To support this effort a web-based public input questionnaire has been developed to assist the County Council in developing beach concession contract policy, Coats said.
The public input questionnaire is available at www.volusia.org/concessions.
Citizens may also fill out the questionnaire offline and send it to via standard mail to: Volusia County Beach Safety Division, Beach Concessions, 515 S. Atlantic Ave., Daytona Beach, FL, 32118. Completed questionnaires must be submitted by Friday, Dec. 5.
Oral comments can be provided at a public listening session of the Volusia County Council at 6 pm. Monday, Nov. 24.
The meeting will be at the Volusia County Beach Safety Headquarters, 515 S. Atlantic Ave., Daytona Beach.
Comments also can be presented at a meeting of the Beach Policy Advisory Board at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, at the Volusia County Beach Safety Headquarters, 515 S. Atlantic Ave., Daytona Beach.
