ECHO advisory committee to meet Feb. 10 to discuss project requests including NSB's Cross Volusia Trail and Mosquito Lagoon Enhancement Center

DELAND -- The Volusia County Environmental, Cultural, Historical, and Outdoor Recreation (ECHO) advisory committee will meet from 3 - 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb 10, in the Volusia County Council chambers of the Thomas C. Kelly Administration Center, 123 W.Indiana Ave.

This meeting is for the committee to discuss any issues regarding the applications submitted for the 2010 grant cycle. The 2010 applicants are:

City of New Smyrna Beach, Cross Volusia Trail, $ 281,853;

Wildlife Foundation of Florida, Mosquito Lagoon Marine Enhancement Center, $600,000;

Volusia County, Parks and Recreation, Dahlia Beach Park, $ 92,751;

Volusia County, Parks and Recreation, Sun Splash Park, $ 213,754;

City of DeBary, Rob Sullivan Community Park, $250,000;

Museum of Arts & Sciences, West Wing Reconstruction, $1,600,000;

City of Daytona Beach, Midtown Cultural and Education Center, $ 600,000;

Gateway Center for the Arts, Gateway Center for the Arts Enhancements, $57,000.00.

The final ranking meeting for the 2010 ECHO Grant cycle will be at 8 a.m. until completed Wednesday, Feb 24, in the Volusia County Council chambers of the Thomas C. Kelly Administration Center.

Eligible applicants for ECHO grants are cities of Volusia County, non-profits incorporated in Florida with a local office, and departments of Volusia County Government.
