Votran Speed Weeks service interruptions announced

DAYTONA BEACH -- Speed Weeks will bring heavy traffic to Volusia County in February and Votran riders should expect numerous delays, interruptions and route deviations.

Schedule delays will begin Thursday, Feb. 11 and continue through the Daytona 500 on Sunday. Detours are subject to change without notice and buses will be rerouted to secondary roads when traffic becomes congested.

Route 17A/B, which serves the beachside, will have route deviations including travel along International Speedway Boulevard in both directions. Routes 10, 11, 18, 19 and 60, which serve the area near Daytona International Speedway, also will have route deviations and schedule adjustments. There will not be service to the Daytona Beach International Airport, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and the Daytona Beach Flea Market after 11 a.m. Riders should contact Votran for up-to-date schedule information and refer to detailed information provided on each bus. Any deviations are subject to change without notice.
