DELAND -- The Volusia County Sheriff's Office is investigating a murder suicide Saturday night
near DeLand, in which a man shot and killed killed a wonman and then himself, an agency spokesman said.
The Sheriff's Office was notified shortly after 8 p.m. that there had been a shooting at 1775 Carr Street.
"The investigation so far has revealed that an adult male shot and killed an adult female and then shot and killed himself inside the home," Sheriff's spokesman Brandon Haught said. "Both were found dead on scene when deputies arrived. The identities of the victims are being withheld pending further investigation and notification of next of kin."
