An 8-year-old girl is being cared for at Halifax MerdicalCenter with what are being described as non-life threatening injuries after falling from a first-floor hotel balcony Tuesday night on the beachside, Daytona Beach Fire Department officials said.
The girl, whose name was not released, fell from a first-floor balcony above a garage at the Comfort Inn and Suites, 730 N. Atlantic Ave. at 5 p.m., fire officials said. The child told paramedics she had back pain.
