Mass of Christian Burial for Marion E. Currie, age 95, of New Smyrna Beach, who died Friday at Sterling House Assisted Living in Port Orange, will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Smyrna Beach. Burial will take place in New York.
Born in New York City, Mrs. Currie, a homemaker, moved to this area in 1966. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was an artist who enjoyed painting in acrylics and watercolors.
Mrs. Currie is survived by 2 daughters, Sue and her husband Peter Mooney of New Smyrna Beach and Patricia Sortor of Atlanta, Georgia; 5 grandchildren, Linda, Lisa, Marianne, Michael, and Christine; 8 great grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Walls of Eureka, California. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; a son Peter; and a great grandchild.
