'Make A Difference Day' today in New Smyrna Beach with Fishing for 'Cudas tournament

MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY is Saturday, October 23, 2010 and the NSBHS PTSA is co-sponsoring our second annual "FISHING FOR CUDAS" tournament for our Southeast  Volusia community project to benefit the New Smyrna Beach High School Athletic Department.

This year we have CASH prizes for each category-REDFISH and TROUT. 1st. place: $500.00; 2nd. place: $250.00 and 3rd. place: $100.00. We also have lots of gift cards, merchandise, rod and reel combos and tackle to give away.

We have some Family Fun Events- featuring a Kidde Kasting Contest with great prizes and there will be a BEACH CRUISER RAFFLE and wonderful Silent Auction with lots of autographed Sports items- Race Car Drivers, Baseball items, Gator Football helmet and more items like Charter Fishing Trips, CUDA apparel, Golf foursomes, original art work and lots more.

  • Proceeds go directly toward covering costs for student athletes in the wake of last year's "pay to play" policy that put the financial burden directly on the athletes and their families.
