Freshman year in high school really cool experience with drama club, key club and new friends

With the first grading quarter over and the second already halfway through, high school is proving to be better than expected. Although a big transition going from middle to high school, many are happier to be in a new environment with more maturity and responsibility. I think your high school years are definitely the ones you are going to remember and I plan on making the best of them.

With many new friends I am making all new memories. I went to all of the Cudas varsity football
home games and I am very excited they made the playoffs. I am in Key Club, a volunteering club sponsored by the Kiwanis. I am most excited about a brand new hobby as well as class that I have taken up; drama.

In my class we learn about the history of drama as well as many aspects of stage design. In Drama Club, we raise money for charities but also get a lot of hands-on experience acting. We will be
preforming a one-act as well as many individual acts on Thursday, Dec. 2, at Nights of Columbus Hall.

A spagettii dinner will be provided as well as the show. It is a very intriguing play with a talented cast and crew that brings a new perspective to suicide; a very real and tragic occurrence.

Overall, high school has proven to be a challenging, but rewarding experience. Besides the obvious, more work and more effort, finally having a locker, and a little bit more walking, there are also many emotional tests involved with being in high school, especially as a freshman.

It becomes less crucial to fit in because as I was soon to figure out, high school isn't about being an outcast. It's about finding the people who are just as weird, crazy and obnoxious as you. Luckily, I've already found mine and wouldn't have them any other way!

Thank You,
Cheyenne
