Liberal newspapers, media pundits and others of the loony left have had a field day because -- ta dah -- Mitt Romney told the truth. They have unearthed a secret video and splashed it all over the Internet.
They are furious and not holding back. This from NewsMax quoting New York Times columnist David Brooks who “called Romney's economic vision "a country-club fantasy." What? Get an education? Get a job? Own a home? Plan for the future? Be self-sufficient, reliable? Of course not. Those goals aren’t part of Obama’s plan for America.
Brooks wasn’t done slamming Romney, however. Get this: "It's what self-satisfied millionaires say to each other. It reinforces every negative view people have about Romney," he wrote. "Personally, I think he's a kind, decent man who says stupid things because he is pretending to be something he is not -- some sort of cartoonish government-hater. But it scarcely matters. He's running a depressingly inept presidential campaign. Mr. Romney, your entitlement reform ideas are essential, but when will the incompetence stop?"
I nearly poured my Coke onto my keyboard when I read that. If you want a definition of inept, how about the complete disaster happening in the Middle East? Can’t blame that on Bush. I do blame Obama for this. He frequently skipped intelligence briefings right before the murder of our ambassador to Libya, J. Christopher Stevens.

And what has Obama done since? Not much.
The economic disaster visited on our once prosperous county began in 2008, with a Democratic majority in the House and Senate. Wanna blame Bush for gasoline skyrocketing from $1.82 at the end of his term to $3.76 a gallon thanks to the spendthrift currently in the White House? Seniors have lost over 40% of the value of their homes and investments thanks to Obama’s stimulus and bailout policies.
Another previously unknown video was also released today. It features Barack Obama speaking at Loyola University on Oct. 19, 1998. In it he said, "Government doesn't work and the need to ‘pool resources and hence facilitate some redistribution because I actually believe in redistribution.’ ”
And what did Romney’s video proclaim? The truth.
“There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. OK, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That's an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what -- these are people who pay no income tax.
Romney went on: "[M]y job is not to worry about those people. I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives."
MotherJones.com is on fire with rage because the truth leaked out without the filter of the mainstream news before they could spin the story.
Conservatives are coming out in strong support of Romney’s words. I mean, it’s not like his description was off the mark or something. http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2012/09/secret-video-romney-private…
The Wall Street Journal corroborates Romney, stating, “According to the Census Bureau, 49% of Americans in the second quarter of 2011 lived in a household where at least one member received a government benefit. (The total population at the time was 305 million).
That’s up from 30% in the 1980s and 44.4% in the third quarter of 2008, a recent growth in part attributable to the bad economy of President Obama’s first term.
The large majority of Medicare and Social Security recipients have paid payroll taxes in many cases for decades to qualify for those benefits.” See http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2012/09/18/the-data-behind-romneys-47-comments/
Romney should carry the truth like a proud torchbearer, shining the light on the deep dark secret of Democrats buying votes using taxpayer dollars against us.
