Williams retired at the end of 2001, and had been in sales and sales management for medical device companies since getting out of the service in 1969.
At his last company which was the Guidant Corporation, they manufactured and sold implantable heart pacers and defibrillators and another division sold stents. So he was in the "heart" of the business for a long time, Bair said.
Williams resides in New Smyrna Beach with his wife, Diane M. Williams, also a member of the foundation board.
Foundation board members also have elected a slate of 2013 officers: William Preston, Esq., vice chair and legal counsel to tjhe Utilitiews Commission of New Smyrna Beach; Barbara Diegel, secretary, and a principal in WSBB with her husband, Skip Diegel; and William O’Meara, treasurer.
