"We had one water rescue where we pulled two victims to shore without incident," Beach Safety Senior Capt. Andrew Ethridge reported in an email to Headline Surfer. " "The beach was packed again due to the nice weather and the crowds kept Beach Safety personnel busy with various calls for service. There were no major incidents to report at this time."

Weather todays calls for mostly sunny skies, with a high near 79, with a light and variable wind, becoming south southeast 5 to 10 mph. Rip currents are expected and so the red flag is expecyed to be flown again today, according to the beach report on Volusia County's website.
